I have had a beard for quite a few years now, and I am wondering whether to keep it or get rid of it. So, I thought I would take a poll of your opinions, dear readers. Which do you prefer: Andrew with beard, or Andrew without beard? To illustrate:
Please vote by commenting here (on the original post please, not on Facebook, so as to keep everything in one place), and I may or may not pay attention to what you have to say.
(And back to your regularly scheduled programme…)

Shave it off!!! You have a pretty face, don’t hide it

Lol! Funniest thing I’ve seen in ages. Thanks Andrew. I know that probably wasn’t your intended reaction but GO PHOTOSHOP!!
You’ve asked a similar question before? I’m curious as to YOUR opinion. Are you tired of having a beard now?

Well, GIMP actually, as it is free. But same idea.
My opinion? Well, it is nice to run my fingers through. And it makes for a little less shaving.

shave, but try to keep the chin, would probably be messy if that dissapears

Won’t a reduction in facial hair also reduce your programming skills proportionately? I always understood there to be some kind of correlation there…
Comment by Dave — 14 August 2009 @ 9:54 am
I think it was more a matter of the success of any programming language I might create than my programming skills per se. At least, going from the blog post I assume you are referencing.

Definitely shave.
Also suggest that voting should have a weighting biased in favour or females of your own age. There opinion should count more.

With beard, or I won’t recognise you
Also, beards look manly and stuff, yo.
(Disclosure: I am a female of your own age
)

I say shave it off. It is so long since I have seen your chin! It will grow back if you miss it too much. I think your mother’s opinion should count most of all.
Comment by Janet — 14 August 2009 @ 7:07 pm
Beard, it’s sexy! And I’m female.. but I’m old… and your cousin… does that count as a negative vote??
Comment by Katie — 15 August 2009 @ 11:28 am
shave and regrow. althrough you probably will get a cold chin.
Comment by Tim — 16 August 2009 @ 12:56 pm
I am thinking I will close voting this Thursday, a week after I published this post. I will then decide how to count the votes and make a decision, I guess. So make sure to have your say before then.

Shave it off – let it grow back. At least you can do that.
Comment by Kristine — 19 August 2009 @ 9:59 pm
