Beard or not

I have had a beard for quite a few years now, and I am wondering whether to keep it or get rid of it. So, I thought I would take a poll of your opinions, dear readers. Which do you prefer: Andrew with beard, or Andrew without beard? To illustrate:

Andrew with beard

Andrew with beard

Andrew with no beard (and, uh, no chin)

Andrew with no beard (and, uh, no chin)

Please vote by commenting here (on the original post please, not on Facebook, so as to keep everything in one place), and I may or may not pay attention to what you have to say.

(And back to your regularly scheduled programme…)

  2. Lol! Funniest thing I’ve seen in ages. Thanks Andrew. I know that probably wasn’t your intended reaction but GO PHOTOSHOP!!

You’ve asked a similar question before? I’m curious as to YOUR opinion. Are you tired of having a beard now?

    • Well, GIMP actually, as it is free. But same idea.

My opinion? Well, it is nice to run my fingers through. And it makes for a little less shaving.

  7. shave, but try to keep the chin, would probably be messy if that dissapears

  8. Won’t a reduction in facial hair also reduce your programming skills proportionately? I always understood there to be some kind of correlation there…

  9. Definitely shave.
Also suggest that voting should have a weighting biased in favour or females of your own age. There opinion should count more.

  10. With beard, or I won’t recognise you 😉 Also, beards look manly and stuff, yo.

(Disclosure: I am a female of your own age 😛 )

  11. I say shave it off. It is so long since I have seen your chin! It will grow back if you miss it too much. I think your mother’s opinion should count most of all.

  12. Beard, it’s sexy! And I’m female.. but I’m old… and your cousin… does that count as a negative vote??

    Comment by Katie — 15 August 2009 @ 11:28 am

  14. I am thinking I will close voting this Thursday, a week after I published this post. I will then decide how to count the votes and make a decision, I guess. So make sure to have your say before then.

  15. Shave it off – let it grow back. At least you can do that.

  16. Ooh – and maybe a hair cut as well!?!
